The "Château de Mirande" gîte is the oldest part of the estate, its very historic heart. In addition to the spacious bedrooms, the gîte includes a fully-equipped family kitchen opening onto a large dining room, a welcoming lounge, a private terrace and, of course, access to a large swimming pool, hammam, tennis or petanque court, summer kitchen (barbecue and pizza oven) and large park.

Located in southern Burgundy, with its famous Mâconnais and neighbouring Beaujolais wines, Château de Mirande offers everything you need for a successful stay:

On the property itself, there is a heated swimming pool (15 x 7 m), a tennis court, a petanque area, a steam room and mountain bikes. In the gîte itself, you can also enjoy our grand piano, the mini ar, and an office where you can retire if work calls. In the surrounding area, you'll find plenty of opportunities for wine tasting, good restaurants (several with Michelin stars), markets, two golf courses, various activities on the Saône (water-skiing, boat hire, boat trips, canoeing or kayaking) and horse-riding centres. The 'blue route' between Mâcon and Tournus is ideal for cycling. Finally, just a short drive away, you'll find the already Mediterranean town of Mâcon and Tournus, with its impressive abbey church in the historic centre. Cluny, Beaune and Bourg-en-Bresse are also just a short drive away, and will reveal to you the rich history of our region.

THE DEBUSSY ROOM

This elegant room, painted in a magnificent shade of yellow, is full of warmth and calm, with its two large windows overlooking the garden. On the first floor of the Château, this vast room (30 m²) offers a magnificent view of the park, pond, fields and vineyards nearby. The Debussy room is furnished with refined antique furniture and combines charm and comfort. Its private bathroom, overlooking the cloister, includes a shower and bath.

THE MOZART ROOM

This bright room, flooded with light from its 3 windows overlooking both the garden and the courtyard, is a pastel blue, both fresh and balanced. On the first floor of the Château, the vast room (30 m²) offers a dreamy view of the park, the Château's characteristic tower and the swimming pool. The special feature of the Mozart room is its incredible century-old parquet flooring, renovated with the utmost care, and its elegant antique furniture. A welcoming room brimming with privacy and comfort. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower.

THE VERDI BEDROOM

This room opens onto the courtyard of the Château and its emblematic tower, reflecting the colours of the park and the flora of the Mirande estate. On the first mezzanine floor of the Château, this vast room (28 m²) offers a real cocoon, with its sofa and antique furniture in a range of warm purples. The Verdi bedroom is fitted with antique furniture and combines charm and comfort. Its bathroom includes a spacious bath and shower, and overlooks the cloister.

NB: at an additional cost, the Verdi room can become the Verdi suite, with a small adjoining private room, ideal for parents and their young children.

THE VIVALDI & BEETHOVEN ROOMS

The Vivaldi room is a cosy little room in baroque shades of purple and gold. Its window overlooks the courtyard of the Château and faces the estate's emblematic tower and olive hedge. Its modern furnishings contrast with its delicate old-fashioned decor.

Vivaldi shares its bathroom with the Beethoven room. This is the largest bathroom in the castle, with a large walk-in shower and lights, and a wide, elegant corner bath.

The Beethoven bedroom is a vast room with a refined design. With its 3 windows overlooking the courtyard and the park, Beethoven is a bright and spacious room in shades of cobalt blue. Its windows open directly onto the three large Lebanese cedars in the garden.

Beethoven shares its bathroom with the Vivaldi room. This bathroom is the largest in the chateau and features a large walk-in shower with lighting and a large, elegant corner bath.

All our bedrooms and bathrooms include the following amenities: bed linen, towels, soap, bath mat, pool towel, hairdryer, etc.

The kitchen includes: all crockery and kitchen accessories, kitchen piano, oven, Jura coffee machine, large American-style fridge, dishwasher, etc.

On request, we can provide bathrobes, feather pillows, laundry service (extra charge), etc.

For leisure activities in the garden, we offer : Mountain bikes, petanque balls, tennis rackets and balls, inflatable buoys for the swimming pool, ...

In the former caretaker's cottage (135 m²), up to 6 people will find all the comforts for a pleasant holiday all year round. The gîte is on the grounds of a château, and the park and swimming pool are shared with guests of the château's chambres d'hôtes or with the occupants of our other 2-person gîte.

On the ground floor, a spacious living room with sofa and armchairs offers you a charming welcome with a seductive view over the park.

On the north side, a well-equipped kitchen (hob, extractor fan, oven, sink, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine) is opposite the dining room, from where you have access to the terrace with barbecue, which is sunny until nightfall. Upstairs there are 3 double bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

There is also another living room where you can retreat to read, write, search the internet, play music or watch TV.

Le Logement de Diane (2 pers.)

On the ground floor of the former stable is this intimate gîte for 2 people. A living room (19 m²) with 2 armchairs, dining area, kitchen (hob, extractor fan, oven, dishwasher, sink, fridge, washing machine) welcomes you all year round. The bedroom (11 m²) is at the back of the house. Bathroom with bath/shower, washbasin and toilet.

There is a shaded terrace where you can eat outside or relax. For those who love the sun, there is a bench with a small table in front of the house, where you can spend some pleasant moments until the evening.

Double bed (160 x 200 cm), central heating, TV, Wifi. No smoking.
